Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table
In the Beginnings… Pagan Gods reign and the magical Entities of the 4 Elements are alive and worshiped… One day, far in the past, the Lady of the Lake emerges from the water, holding a magical sword, Excalibur, and she offers it to humanity. And, since those immemorial times, Excalibur is stuck in a rock and the legend says that the one who can remove it from this rock will become King. No one yet, of all the warlords, soldiers and common men who tried it, managed to pull the sword out of the rock.
Middle Ages, around the 5th century… Two chiefs oppose each other, then make peace and during the banquet that brings them together, one is fascinated by the beauty of the other’s wife and demands from his magician, Merlin, the means to spend a night with the Queen Igraine. Activating the Magic of the Dragon’s Breath, Merlin changes Uther Pendragon’s appearance into that of Igraine’s husband and she welcomes him… While they are making love, her husband is killed in a battle. From this union is born a boy, Arthur, thus half-brother of Morgana, the daughter of Igraine.
Arthur grows up at this court under the protection of Merlin and nothing seems to predestine him to what will be his destiny…
When he is 18 years old, Arthur has a strange vision…He sees the living Tree of Life…, battles…, dragons and snakes!…, he is afraid but he feels exhilarated… Some time later, he walks near the rock where Excalibur is, grabs it for fun, pulls it out effortlessly and brandishes it! Excalibur is given to the young man, he will be king! … Some of the warlords accept this suzerain and bow to Arthur, but others do not want to submit and fight this so-called king, a boy who is not even a knight! After years of fighting, Arthur, armed with Excalibur, is victorious: alliances are forged, peace returns and the knights all sit together around the Round Table, symbol of their unity. Beauty, Prosperity and Light reign in the kingdom…
Arthur falls in love with Guinevere and marries her. But she is in love with one of the knights, Lancelot, who is also in love with her. They try to resist their love and then give in to it and escape together. Arthur is crushed by his wife’s betrayal and enters a sort of melancholy stupor… The kingdom is impoverished, darkness, famine and disease set in…
Morgane, Merlin’s pupil, becomes an expert in magic and betrays her master by putting him in stasis. She has great ambitions ! Using magic, she sleeps with her half-brother and thus conceives a son, Mordred, and this child of incest is determined to kill Arthur to become king in his turn.
Arthur regains vitality and goes to war against Mordred. At the last battle, that of Camlann, Arthur and Mordred fight hand to hand and each mortally wounds the other. Before he dies, Arthur says that Excalibur must accompany him on his journey to Avalon, the Isle of the Dead – that which lies to the northwest beyond the sea…
The traditional funeral rite is respected: with his weapons and Excalibur, Arthur’s body is placed on a flaming boat and pushed into the sea… The tide carries it towards the North-West… There is the „Gate“ that the deceased king will pass through to reach Avalon…
(A new religion arises, which chases away the memory of Magic, makes the old Gods and the Entities of the 4 Elements sleepy… and which carries in it oppression, control, destruction… But this is another story…)
Merlin, the Master of Magic, is immortal… He sleeps in stasis in a secret place of the kingdom… He will wake up one day… And then will come back the times of Chivalry, of Magic, of Light… And then will be finished the Dark Times in which we live at the moment…

König Artus und die Ritter der Tafelrunde
Am Anfang … Die heidnischen Götter herrschen und die magischen Wesen der vier Elemente leben und werden verehrt … Eines Tages, weit in der Vergangenheit, taucht die Herrin vom See aus dem Wasser auf und hält ein magisches Schwert, Excalibur, in der Hand und schenkt es der Menschheit. Und seit diesen uralten Zeiten steckt Excalibur in einem Felsen und die Legende besagt, dass derjenige, der es aus dem Felsen ziehen kann, König wird. Noch keinem der Kriegsherren, Soldaten und einfachen Männer, die es versuchten, gelang es, das Schwert aus dem Felsen zu reißen.
Mittelalter, ca. 5. Jahrhundert … Zwei Häuptlinge bekämpften sich, schlossen dann Frieden und beim gemeinsamen Bankett war der eine von der Schönheit der Frau des anderen fasziniert und verlangte von seinem Zauberer Merlin, dass er eine Nacht mit Königin Igraine verbringen durfte. Merlin aktiviert die Magie des Drachenatems und verwandelt für diese Nacht die Gestalt von Uther Pendragon in die von Igraines Ehemann, und Igraine empfängt ihn… Während sie sich lieben, wird der Ehemann in einer Schlacht getötet. Aus dieser Verbindung geht ein Junge hervor, Artus, der somit Halbbruder von Morgana, Igraines Tochter, ist.
Arthur wächst unter der Obhut Merlins am Hof auf und nichts scheint ihn für sein späteres Schicksal zu prädestinieren…
Als er 18 Jahre alt ist, hat Artus eine seltsame Vision… Er sieht das Lebensbaum…, Schlachten…, Drachen und Schlangen!…, er hat Angst, aber er fühlt sich beschwingt… Einige Zeit später geht er in der Nähe des Felsens spazieren, auf dem Excalibur liegt, greift es spielerisch, zieht es mühelos heraus und schwingt es!!! Excalibur hat sich dem jungen Mann geschenkt, er wird König sein! … Einige der Kriegsherren akzeptieren diesen jungen Oberherrn und verbeugen sich vor Artus, aber andere wollen sich nicht unterwerfen und kämpfen gegen diesen angeblichen König, einen Bursche, der nicht einmal ein Ritter ist! Nach jahrelangen Kämpfen ist Artus, bewaffnet mit Excalibur, siegreich: Bündnisse werden geschlossen, Frieden kehrt ein und die Ritter sitzen alle zusammen um die Tafelrunde, das Symbol dass Einheit. Schönheit, Wohlstand und Licht herrschen im Königreich…
Artus verliebt sich in Guinevere und heiratet sie. Sie ist jedoch in einen der Ritter, Lancelot, verliebt, der ebenfalls in sie verliebt ist. Sie versuchen, ihrer Liebe zu widerstehen, geben ihr dann aber nach und fliehen gemeinsam. Artus ist über den Verrat seiner Frau am Boden zerstört und verfällt in eine Art melancholischen Stupor… Das Königreich verarmt, Dunkelheit, Hunger und Krankheit machen sich breit…
Merlins Schülerin Morgane wird zu einer Expertin in Sachen Magie und verrät ihren Meister, indem sie ihn in Stasis versetzt. Sie hat große Ambitionen ! Durch den Einsatz von Magie schläft sie mit ihrem Halbbruder und zeugt so einen Sohn, Mordred, und dieses Kind aus Inzest ist entschlossen, Artus zu töten, um selbst König zu werden.
Arthur gewinnt seine Lebenskraft zurück und zieht gegen Mordred in den Krieg. In der letzten Schlacht, der Schlacht von Camlann, kämpfen Artus und Mordred im Nahkampf, wobei jeder den anderen tödlich verwundet. Vor seinem Tod sagt Artus, dass Excalibur ihn auf seiner Reise nach Avalon, der Insel der Toten, begleiten soll – die Insel, die im Nordwesten jenseits des Meeres liegt…
Der traditionelle Begräbnisritus wird eingehalten: Mit seinen Waffen und Excalibur wird Artus‘ Körper auf ein brennendes Boot gelegt und ins Meer getrieben… Die Flut treibt es in Richtung Nordwesten… Dort befindet sich das „Tor“, durch das der verstorbene König gehen wird, um dann nach Avalon zu gelangen…
(Es kommt eine neue Religion auf, die die Erinnerung an die Magie vertreibt, die alten Götter und die Wesenheiten der vier Elemente in den Schlaf versetzt … und die Unterdrückung, Kontrolle und Zerstörung mit sich bringt … Aber das ist eine andere Geschichte …)
Merlin, der Meister der Magie, ist unsterblich… Er schläft in Stasis an einem geheimen Ort im Königreich… Er wird eines Tages erwachen… Und dann werden die Zeiten des Rittertums, der Magie und des Lichts wiederkehren… Und dann werden die Dunklen Zeiten, in denen wir gerade leben, vorbei sein…

Re Artù e i cavalieri della tavola rotonda
Agli inizi… Gli dei pagani regnano e le entità magiche dei 4 elementi sono vive e venerate… Un giorno, in un lontano passato, la Signora del Lago emerge dall’acqua, con in mano una spada magica, Excalibur, e la offre all’umanità. E da tempo immemorabile, Excalibur è rimasta incastrata in una roccia e la leggenda dice che chi riesce a tirarla fuori dalla roccia diventerà re. Nessuno ancora, tra tutti i signori della guerra, soldati e popolani che ci hanno provato, è riuscito a estrarre la spada dalla roccia.
Medioevo, intorno al V secolo… Due capi si oppongono, poi fanno pace e durante il banchetto tra loro, uno è affascinato dalla bellezza della moglie dell’altro e chiede al suo mago, Merlino, il mezzo per passare una notte con la regina Igraine. Attivando la magia del Soffio del Drago, Merlino cambia l’aspetto di Uther Pendragon in quello del marito della regina Irgina per la notte e lei lo accoglie… Mentre fanno l’amore, il marito viene ucciso in battaglia. Da questa unione nacque un ragazzo, Arthur, quindi fratellastro di Morgana, la figlia di Igraine.
Artù cresce a questa corte sotto la protezione di Merlino e nulla sembra predestinarlo a quello che sarà il suo destino…
Quando ha 18 anni, Artù ha una strana visione… Vede battaglie, draghi e serpenti…, ha paura ma si sente euforico… Qualche tempo dopo, si avvicina alla roccia dove si trova Excalibur, la afferra per gioco, la tira fuori senza sforzo e la brandisce! Excalibur è data al giovane, egli sarà re! … Alcuni dei signori della guerra accettano questo signore supremo e si inchinano ad Artù, ma altri non vogliono sottomettersi e combattono questo cosiddetto re, un ragazzo che non è nemmeno un cavaliere! Dopo anni di combattimenti, Artù, armato di Excalibur, è vittorioso: si stringono alleanze, torna la pace e i cavalieri si siedono tutti insieme intorno alla Tavola Rotonda, simbolo della loro unità. Bellezza, prosperità e luce regnano nel regno…
Artù si innamora di Ginevra e la sposa. Ma lei è innamorata di uno dei cavalieri, Lancillotto, che è anche innamorato di lei. Cercano di resistere al loro amore e poi si arrendono e fuggono insieme. Artù è distrutto dal tradimento di sua moglie ed entra in una sorta di stupore malinconico… Il regno si impoverisce, le tenebre, la carestia e le malattie si diffondono…
Morgana, allieva di Merlino, diventa un’esperta di magia e tradisce il suo maestro mettendolo in stasi. Ha grandi ambizioni. Usando la magia, va a letto con il suo fratellastro e concepisce così un figlio, Mordred, e questo figlio dell’incesto è determinato a uccidere Artù per diventare re a sua volta.
Artù recupera la vitalità e va in guerra contro Mordred. Nell’ultima battaglia, quella di Camlann, Artù e Mordred combattono corpo a corpo e ciascuno ferisce mortalmente l’altro. Prima di morire, Artù dice che Excalibur deve accompagnarlo nel suo viaggio verso Avalon, l’isola dei morti – quella che si trova a nord-ovest oltre il mare…
Viene seguito il tradizionale rito funebre: con le sue armi ed Excalibur, il corpo di Artù viene posto su una barca infuocata e spinto in mare… La marea lo porta verso nord-ovest… Lì si trova la ‚Porta‘ attraverso la quale il re defunto passerà per raggiungere Avalon…
(Nasce una nuova religione, che scaccia la memoria della magia, fa addormentare i vecchi dei e le entità dei 4 elementi… e che porta con sé oppressione, controllo, distruzione… Ma questa è un’altra storia…)
Merlino, il Maestro di Magia, è immortale… Dorme in stasi in un luogo segreto del regno… Un giorno si sveglierà… E allora torneranno i tempi della Cavalleria, della Magia, della Luce… E allora saranno finiti i tempi bui in cui viviamo ora…

Roi Arthur et les Chevaliers de la Table Ronde
Aux Commencements… Les Dieux païens règnent et les Entités magiques des 4 Eléments sont vivants et vénérés… Un jour, très loin dans le passé, la Dame du Lac surgit de l’eau, tenant une épée magique, Excalibur, et elle l’offre à l’humanité. Et, depuis ces temps immémoriaux, Excalibur est plantée dans un rocher et la légende dit que celui qui pourra la retirer de ce rocher deviendra Roi. Nul encore, de tous les chefs de guerre, soldats et hommes du peuple qui le tentèrent ne parvint à arracher l’épée de la roche.
Moyen-Age, vers le 5e siècle… Deux chefs s’opposent, puis font la paix et, lors du banquet les réunissant, l’un est fasciné par la beauté de l’épouse de l’autre et exige de son magicien, Merlin, le moyen de passer une nuit avec la reine Igraine. Activant la magie du Souffle du Dragon, Merlin change pour cette nuit l’apparence de Uther Pendragon en celle de l’époux de Igraine et celle-ci l’accueille… Pendant qu’ils font l’amour, l’époux est tué dans une bataille. De cette union nait un garçon, Arthur, ainsi demi-frère de Morgane, la fille de Igraine.
Arthur grandit à cette cour sous la protection de Merlin, et rien ne semble le prédestiner a ce qui sera son destin…
Lorsqu’il a 18 ans, Arthur a une vision étrange…Il voit des batailles, des dragons et serpents !…, il a peur mais il se sent exalté… Quelque temps plus tard, il se promène près du rocher où se trouve Excalibur, la saisit par jeu, la retire sans effort et la brandit !!! Excalibur s’est donnée au jeune homme, il sera roi ! … Certains des chefs de guerre acceptent ce suzerain et s’inclinent devant Arthur, mais d’autres ne veulent pas se soumettre et combattent ce prétendu roi, un godelureau qui n’est même pas chevalier ! Après des années de combats, Arthur, armé de Excalibur, est victorieux : des alliances se nouent, la paix revient et les chevaliers s’asseyent tous ensemble autour de la Table Ronde, symbole de leur unité. La Beauté, la Prospérité et la Lumière règnent dans le royaume…
Arthur tombe amoureux de Guenièvre et l’épouse. Mais elle est éprise d’un des chevaliers, Lancelot, qui est également amoureux d’elle. Ils cherchent à résister à leur amour puis y cèdent et s’échappent ensemble. Arthur est effondré par la trahison de son épouse et entre dans une sorte de stupeur mélancolique… Le royaume s’appauvrit, l’obscurité, la famine et la maladie s’installent…
Morgane, élève de Merlin et devenue une experte en magie trahit son maitre en le plongeant en stase. Elle a de grandes ambitions ! En usant de magie, elle couche avec son demi-frère et conçoit ainsi un fils, Mordred, et cet enfant issu de l’inceste est déterminé à tuer Arthur pour devenir roi à son tour.
Arthur reprend de la vitalité et entre en guerre contre Mordred. A la dernière bataille, celle de Camlann, Arthur et Mordred se combattent au corps a corps et chacun blesse mortellement l’autre. Avant de mourir, Arthur dit que Excalibur doit l’accompagner dans son voyage vers Avalon, l’Île des Morts – celle qui se trouve au nord-ouest au-delà de la mer…
Le rite funéraire traditionnel est respecté : avec ses armes et Excalibur, le corps de Arthur est déposé sur une barque enflammée et poussée vers le large… La marée l’entraine en direction du Nord-Ouest… Là-bas se trouve la « Porte » que le roi défunt franchira pour parvenir ensuite à Avalon…
(Survient une nouvelle religion, qui chasse jusqu’au souvenir de la Magie, fait s’assoupir les Dieux anciens et les Entités des 4 Eléments… et qui porte en elle oppression, contrôle, destructions… Mais ceci est une autre histoire…)
Merlin, le Maitre de Magie, est immortel… Il dort en stase dans un endroit secret du royaume… Il se réveillera un jour… Et alors reviendront les temps de la Chevalerie, de la Magie, de la Lumière… Et seront alors terminés les Temps Obscurs dans lesquels nous vivons en ce moment…
